From 6 – 11 November 2011, the Provincials and Councillors from Brazil, Peru/Chile, Mexico and the Caribbean held a first, historic meeting in Caracas to look at possible ways of collaborating in the future. They shared information abut their provinces, expressed their most urgent needs, said what they had to share with each other and made some concrete decisions for future action. |

Present were: Srs. Cristina Tereza Goulart Carvalho (Provincial Prioress) and Cecilia Vieira Celio from Brazil Srs. Lina Calle (Provincial Prioress) and Milagros Miranda Carmen from Peru/Chile Sr. Maricruz García Macías from Mexico (Sr. María Eugenia Chavez Flores, the Provincial Prioress, had a broken leg and could not come) Sr. Brenda Ferreira, Provincial Prioress of the Caribbean Province, and her Council: Srs. Jackie da Silva, Teresa Mary Fredericks and Marie Harper

The Provincials will encounter each other again at the Regional meetings in Rome on February 18th and their formation personnel will gather on two days preceeding the Formation meeting in Rome in June. Plans are afoot to continue exchanges already begun, to learn English and to visit another province in the region. All agreed that it was a useful venture, getting to know each other and experiencing the strength of INSIEME. In the final words of the song, written by Julia Vigue for the 475th anniversary: I move along, one step, one chance But with you I become a dance Insieme, Insieme – Together
