January 1 - March for Peace

On January 1, some of us went on the Peace Walk organized by the Sant’ Egidio Community. The Community of Sant'Egidio invited us to respond to the message of Pope Benedict XVI “Educating young people to Justice and Peace,” in the belief that starting from youth and from our responsibility toward the new generation is a good way to humanize contemporary societies, for the common good and the support of peace initiatives worldwide. Several thousand people responded. All together, we reached St Peter’s Square for the traditional papal blessing.
