Pilgrimage of the Croatian Province

Pilgrimage of the Croatian Province

"In the Footsteps of Our Saints"

28 - 30 December 2011

The three-day retreat, (triduum) was in the form of pilgrimage to the roots of our Christianity ... By reading and thinking about the lives of the saints, and inspired by the example of our foundress St. Angela Merici, who often made the pilgrimage to holy places, we were touching the "sacred ground" of our Croatian saints:

Bl. Augustin Kažotić (Trogir about 1260. – Lucera, 03. VIII 1323.)

St. Nikola Tavelić Šibenik, about 1340. - Jeruzalem, 14. XI. 1391.)

Every day was fulfilled with Office, prayer, meditation, reading about the saints, thinking and sharing God's Word, the Eucharistic celebration and adoration, with songs and a true sharing what we experienced ... Meetings with the Benedictine nuns in Trogir and Zadar, Franciscan nuns in Šibenik, with priests… everything was immeasurable and unspeakable enriching ...

The pilgrimage was finished in Zagreb, where we started from, we, pilgrims from each community: Zagreb, Varaždin, Slavonski Brod, Zenica i Rovinj led by our beloved provincial Jasna Lučić.
